Meet Our Founder
Merrie Lynn Eaker has been an educator for over three decades. She started by homeschooling her nine children and later began educating others in both middle and high school. While working in the U.S Army Youth Center on Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, she developed a nationally recognized STEAM program for kids using 3D printers, drone technology, and AutoCAD software.

Parents rate homework help, physical activity, and healthy snacks at the top of their list when choosing after-school programs for their children, but access to hands-on activities in STEAM—science, technology, engineering, arts and math—is gaining a following, according to a new report from the Afterschool Alliance.
A majority of parents—53 percent—with children in after-school programs said STEAM opportunities were an important factor in their decision. Providers seem to be listening; nearly 70 percent of parents reported that their children’s programs do provide STEAM learning.
